Meet the Joneses

Brian Christopher Templeman (C.T.) Jones is a family man, practicing attorney, small business owner, and former assistant district attorney. He is a Republican running to be Limestone County’s District Attorney.
Since 2002, Brian has been a practicing attorney in downtown Athens. As an attorney, he has helped individuals, families, and businesses in their pursuit of justice and equality within our legal system.
With an office on West Market Street in downtown Athens, he has been an active partner in promoting economic growth in all of Limestone County. As a family man and small business owner, he knows what it is like to prioritize spending and live on a tight budget.
From 1994 to 2002, Brian served as an assistant district attorney for the thirty-ninth and fifth judicial circuits. As an assistant district attorney, he prepared and prosecuted cases ranging from abuse to drugs to murder.
This experience required him to work intensely with the local and state police to bring justice for the people.
In 1994, Brian served as a law clerk for Judge William R. Gordon of the fifteenth judicial circuit. There he worked within the judge’s office assisting him in research and writing opinions, scheduling trials, and coordinating trial operations.
In 1993, Brian served as a conservationist for the Boy Scouts of America at Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, New Mexico. There, he supervised over one-hundred boy scouts and troop leaders in construction projects in a remote wilderness.
Brian is a 1990 Bachelor of Science graduate of Birmingham-Southern College with a degree in Economics. He is a 1993 Juris Doctorate graduate of the University of Alabama School of Law.
Brian has been admitted to the Alabama State Bar Association and Tennessee State Bar Association, the United States District Court, Northern and Middle Districts of Alabama, the Limestone and Madison County Bar Associations, and the Alabama and National District Attorney’s Associations.
A former Eagle Scout, Jones learned early in life to always give back and help others. He has served as an Athens Recreation Center basketball coach, AYSO soccer coach, member of the Board of Directors of the United Way of Athens, member of the Athens-Limestone Chamber of Commerce, member of Spirit of Athens, member of the Limestone County Republican Party, sponsor of Jessica’s Tea Party for Meningitis Awareness, sponsor of Limestone County Churches Involved, winner and contestant in the Hospice Chili Challenge, member of the Arbor Day Foundation, sponsor of the Hospice Camp Hope, coordinator of the Limestone County Friends of Scouting, law explorer post advisor of the Boy Scouts of America, and a member of the National Eagle Scout Association and the National Rifle Association.
Brian is married to the former Kandye M. Hillis of the Leggtown community.
Kandye is a teacher at Hazel Green Elementary and daughter Tori is a student at Athens Intermediate School. The family attends First United Methodist Church in Athens. They reside in Athens.
